Workshop
Our lab is currently organizing an interdisciplinary workshop on the applicability of invertebrates as animal models for human cancers, particularly when studying environmental causes.
We are inviting people from the marine invertebrate fields and people from the human cancer epidemiology (especially leukemia / lymphoma) and p53 fields. The workshop is funded by the British Columbia Environmental and Occupational Health Research Network and thus will have a number of BC researchers attending, we envision a total of 25-30 people from the US and Canada.
The workshop will be held at UBC's Peter Wall Center, December 1-2, 2006. This webpage will be the venue for updates on the workshop schedule as they become available. Please contact us if you are interested in this workshop.
