Summer 2009 - Winter Harbour to the Brooks Penninsula
The Brooks peninsula, unglaciated in the last ice-age, is a wilderness refuge. We accessed the Brooks from Winter
Harbour (population 20), about 40 km north of the penninsula for a short 6 day trip (July 8 to 14, 2009).

Summer 2008 - Bella Bella to Port Hardy
While the pictures suggest otherwise, we had extensive fog for most of the eight-day trip (August 2nd through 10th).
The fog sometimes lifted by 5pm, sometimes not. So, lots of time in the boats, and navigation by GPS.

Goose Island Panorama; Goose Island sunset; pocket beach in the Serpent Group in Kildidt Sound;
fog from West Beach near Hakai Pass (north Calvert Island); West Beach from above (it's on the right of the peninsula,

pocket beach just north of Westcott Point; calm crossing to Port Hardy with weather changing; Islets in the calm;
Vista NW to Pine Island from Queen Charlotte Strait and to the fog on the horizon beyond.
